First Visit Experience

When you and your family choose us as your go-to dentist in Grand Rapids, we want you to know that we value your decision and time. We’re dedicated to providing patients of all ages a dental experience that positively impacts both your oral and overall health. New patients are generally scheduled for an initial appointment that lasts about 1.5 hours with your Grand Rapids dentist and one of our skilled dental hygienists.

What To Expect

We’ll take the time to:

Get to know you and your smile
Go over your dental history
Conduct an oral cancer screening
Gather all the necessary digital x-rays and intraoral photos
Discuss our findings and possible treatment solutions

After all of these steps are complete, you’ll most likely meet with a hygienist for a comprehensive, comfortable dental cleaning that lasts a little under an hour. Please note that we go out of our way to diminish patient wait times and unnecessary visits.

Payment Options & Insurances

We want to make getting the care you need and making the most out of your time with us easy and affordable for all. We are a fee-for-service Grand Rapids dentist but do participate with Delta Dental insurance. We do happily accept assignment of benefits where you pay an estimated portion upfront, and we bill your out-of-network insurance. We’ll also gladly do a complimentary benefits check to see what you qualify for.

Third-Party Financing through CareCredit® – No patient at any age should go without quality dental care because of cost. In addition to accepting all major credit cards, Benton Family Dental also offers low-interest, third-party financing courtesy of CareCredit. Learn more about your options today!
